Drake Parker and Josh Nichols' Relationship
I've been thinking about Drake and Josh's relationship for a few days now.

Drake hated Josh at the beginning at the show. By the end, the boys were very close.

I think Drake was co-dependent. I'm not sure if Josh was, but I'm pretty sure that Drake is. He changed so much in four years.

Anyone else agree?

I have found Drake to be extremely co-dependent on Josh. It's almost scary to see how much he needs Josh in his life after awhile -- it's something I'm currently exploring in my D&J fics. Josh doesn't seem to be quite as co-dependent, though it's obvious that he really loves Drake and is eager for his approval. And I feel this is true whether you ship them or just see them as brothers.

Josh is Done definitely shows the co-dependence. I think Drake got more and more desperate as the days went by when Josh stopped talking to him.
